Faith

Hi,

This is my first blog.

I have this "cause" I've been working on for about a decade. Now I have a Pixel Advertising Page http://www.milliondollartaxi.com/ as a fundraiser for my cause. I'm not usually one for blogging... but in the interest of the pixel site, I'll post what's going on with me as I make the journey to better public transportation in Metro Detroit.

My name is Valerie Weise. I'm from Royal Oak, Michigan; just outside Detroit. I've been involved with transportation in this area since 1997.

Those who know me personally or have been in my cabs have heard me preach and sermonize over the years on the taxi industry. I've sought investors several times in the past but, without big financial clout, didn't get very far.

Those who believe in my ideas don't have the capital to come together for this cause. Those that have the capital... don't know me (or my plans).

So I got my BS in business management and studied the trucking industry also.

Still to this day, from 1997 until now, I hear people asking for better taxi service.

I still want to provide that service. The figures are good--it's a profitable venture as well as good for the community overall!

But it's the same old problem... no funding. I need at least $150k and as much as $500k to put together the kind of large-scale professional service that I have in mind.

That's a lot of capital to entrust to your random taxicab driver on their word of a "big business idea."

The need for better transportation isn't going away any time soon. I don't think I'm going away any time soon. I must find a way to bring better transportation to the area. The drunks and business travelers, and the taxi drivers themselves depend on it. LOL!

So I heard about the
milliondollarhomepage.com and figured I could apply it to my cause. The blocks are a lot cheaper also!

Maybe other businesses and people who would like to see better taxicab service would like to advertise. (See where your ad will go: http://www.milliondollartaxi.com/)

The resulting taxicab company would advertise this site very prominently and those original advertisers would enjoy being able to say (and prove on the internet) that they had a hand in creating this company.

A fleet of 100 uniform cabs... not just clean but fresh... not just sound but tight... drivers who know where they're going and don't rip you off... taxicab stands at all major hotels, malls, and downtown areas... lower prices for customers due to increased volume of market... drivers making good middle class wages so they are happy with their job and don't cuss out the customers... health insurance for the drivers... credit card swipe machines in each vehicle for the customer's convenience...
Those who know me... know that given the chance I will change the taxicab industry. That's a fact.

The only question is... do you have faith in me (my business ideas)?
